I'm interested in working on some early armour stuff, but kits seem to be thin on the ground. I only know the Emhar ones to be honest. Any reccomendations on where to look?

Yes, manufacturers don't really give this period much thought. Most of modelers prefer WWII and modern armor. There is nothing actually of a good high quality out there in plastic. As you mentioned, Emhar makes several models. Tauro Models still making their A7V and Fiat3000. Quality also terrible. Plus, RPM with some small stuff.
But there are some resin makers you can look into (if budget allows) - Sparta Modellbau, PanerShop, Jadar-Model.
