Hi Guys

about a month ago my father received a gift from a friend
who had no place for it anymore..... it was left in a open barn for about nineteen years .....
what my father got?

yes a DKW MUNGA !!!!!
Image
by this time we tought it was still a good car
but even the bonnet couldn't be opened because of rusty hinges.... it took 3 hours to open it ...
after that it took us some clean fuel ,two batterys and a twist of the key and in a minute
the RRRRRROARRRRing RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRtengteng tengteng (it"s a two stroke engine )
so the engine was good (only the clutch is not working )
then we started to dismantle the Munga , the body was repeared a few times with bad skin over skin repear
underneath the (new) skin was nothing but rust ....and a emblem
Image
the bottem was even worse so we cut it completely out and then we start the rebuild
here some pic's
the right front corner

the left side with new beams

I'll keep you informed
kind regards

Wow!Usually many people would even bother with a car in condition like that. Almost like a Flintstones' car.
Good luck with the project! Keep us posted, please!
