Rules of The Forum

Postby Minsk94 » 23 Sep 2012 05:28

The Rules are very simple and are easy to follow. They are more about common sense than anything else.

1. By registering on our Forum you agree not to post content that contains:
    - Racism, homophobia, sexism or other forms of offensive bigotry.
    - Libelous remarks (that could lead to us being sued).
    - Images or links showing pornography, or "excessive" nudity (we hope we don't have to explain this part. Use your common sense, please).
    - Malicious or overtly antagonistic attacks on other members just for the sake of it (trolling).
    - Religious opionions/debates
    - Hateful language about religion, country, political beliefs, etc.
    - Referral links for contests, promotions, or similar events unless it was approved by admins.
    - Discussions about banned members.
2. Choose a suitable and clear subject line for your thread, no one-word subjects: "Help", "Can't decide", "Paint" and so on. As far as we know there are no psychics here who can read your mind.

3. Limit the usage of CAPS (capital letters), color, and special fonts.

4. Do not quote entire posts, only quote parts you wish to elaborate on. The "quote" button is not a "reply" button. Again, use your common sense.

5. Only post in English. As English is not everyone's native language, we ask you to not correct other people's posts unless you are asked to. Don't be the "grammar nazi", but do help, if people translate terms into English incorrectly.

6. Intentional poor writing, spelling or Facebook Wall and SMS text styles will only get your post/topic deleted. Please, use capital letters in the beginning of a sentence and punctuation signs. Format your posts; paragraphs make reading a big post a lot easier. Respect people, who will try to read your post.

7. Spamming of threads is not permitted. Spamming is overall defined as:
    - Derailing topics using or starting threads containing material against the terms of use. This will result in immediate banning.
    - Habitually derailing or changing topics. This definitely applies if the behavior continues after moderator intervention.
    - Threads started with the purpose to advertise.
8. In all these matters the moderators' decision is final.

9. Before starting a new thread, you should always check the "sticky" permanent topics or use the search function to ensure that the subject has not already been raised, asked and answered. If there is an existing thread (and it doesn't matter how old it is!) post in it rather than start a new one. Do not duplicate threads. They will be erased or locked by the moderators, and a warning will follow. (Where two or more threads are started simultaneously, only the first thread opened will be allowed to remain.) Any thread started in the wrong forum will be moved to the appropriate forum.

10. Posting on another account or having someone else post in your behalf when your account has been suspended or banned is not allowed. As a result, a new suspension or ban will be issued.

11. Persistent breaking of these rules will lead to users being banned. Any abuse sent via Personal Message is also considered a breach of posting guidelines and will be treated seriously.

12. Avatars and signatures are subject to the same rules as posts and threads. They should not shock, offend or in any other way break our rules. This forum is international. Some countries have banned Nazi symbols, some - Communist symbols. It is better if you use none of those. A single text link to a personal blog or website is acceptable under most circumstances; however, advertisement banners are not allowed. If you're not sure if something is allowed, please send a PM to any moderator or admin.

*Keep in mind that even though you are sitting behind your computer, you are still having a conversation with a human being.
**We strongly suggest to never post your e-mail address in the open in forum threads. If you want people to contact you, we suggest you use the private message system.
***If you would like to advertise here please contact admins.

Moderators can assist with forum questions and issues.
If you have any questions about the above feel free to contact one of the mods.
Best Regards,
Alex
